Mid-day Munchies- Dark Chocolate-Covered Edamame Beans

That was your first thought right? But no! They’re alright, it’s alright, don’t panic.

£2.15 (bit steep) from Sainsbury’s (or available on-line) but produced in Korea by ‘healthy food’ enthusiasts Itsu so you can rest assured these are definitely as nutritious as they are delicious. In all seriousness, this is not some sick joke, they are delicious.

Aside from the price, another issue is that it’s hard to stop once you start as they are suprisingly light and not too rich. However, they come in at 178 calories per half serving (35g) which is not awful but at the same time, 356 calories blown in one snacktime sitting is not ideal.

Then again, Edamame beans are wholesome and evidence suggests all dark chocolate is good for you:

So it’s really no biggie if you mid-morning/day/mega munch your way through a whole packet or five.
